S.B.K. Unlimited Update: Final Touches

happyclients2.jpgScott Kriscenski, S.B.K. Unlimited: We finished up with the cedar shingles last week and got our garage door from Door Systems. This door is an insulated steel overhead door by Garaga with a PVC overlay and hardware that gives the appearance of traditional carriage doors. Since this garage won't have electricity immediately this was an important choice. Similar style doors in wood are much too heavy to be manually operated, as well as more expensive.

Our city of Boston inspector came by and gave us our final inspection. After checking a couple details against our framing plans, he gave us our final approval. This week we will finish up a retaining wall and a cedar trellis on the garage and then move over to our next job - gutting out and remodeling the basement of a 100 year old home in Boston. I received permits yesterday and D&F Services Demolition was there today. Next time I will be on-site to see those guys in action and facilitate their workflow.
